On the road
We pass through many lands
Offering convenience, food
And the comforts off the road

The asphalt shimmers
With the heat of the sun
Rising off the ground

We travel by car
Across many a road
Making our way
From destination to destination

The roads are like
The veins of civilization
And we are the lifeblood
Carrying information from

Places far and wide
Across long distances
Far from home
Or just next door.
